2010-2011 President

The President provides leadership and overall direction to the chapter as well as works closely with the faculty advisor to perform all duties and bylaws of AMA

Specific Responsibilities

•         Works with the vice president of finance in presenting the annual budget to the board of directors for approval
•         Serves as a liaison to the chapter and faculty advisor
•         Determines whether the objectives and strategies contribute to the long-range interest of the chapter and analyzes the extent to which the needs of all members are served
•         Calls and conducts all general chapter meetings
•         Determines the chapter’s meeting schedule for the year in conjunction with the board of directors
•         Prepares and submits a chapter plan and the annual report with input from the board for final delivery to AMA International Headquarters

2009-2010 Vice President of Communications

Maintains the historical records of the chapter, as well as corresponds with members, AMA International Headquarters and the community. Set up/participate in community service activities.

Specific Responsibilities

•         Distributes all meeting announcements to board members, officers, faculty, and current and prospective members
•         Prepares and maintains the minutes of all chapter meetings and board meetings
•         Sends chapter mailings to AMA International Headquarters
•         Prepares a final report of the years activities, including budget estimates and recommendations for the next year
•         Decides upon events for the chapter to participate in for the community service component

SMCAMA aims to connect students interested
in marketing with professionals in those fields
by hosting events in different industries,
sponsor workshops to improve professional
development, and field trips an mixers to
increase networking opportunities.

The Mission

The Saint Mary's College American Marketing
Association Collegiate Chapter (SMCAMA)
provides students of all majors with the

SMCAMA introduces students to the marketing
industry through its professional development
programs, such as workshops, seminars, field
trips and other special events. SMCAMA strives
to enhance resources being offered to students
in the field of marketing.
